The scenes, animations and text are an independent companion to An Introduction to Statistical Learning by James, Witten, Hastie, Tibshirani and Taylor. This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the authors or publisher. The data sets come from the book’s public ISLP package.
Everything is offered for learning, as is, without guarantees. Explanations and tutor answers can contain mistakes; please report them with the button under each scene.
Your account and your code
The code you write is yours. If you publish a portfolio page, you let this site display it there until you unpublish. Keep what you publish free of anything you don’t want public.
Fair use of the tutor
Ask about the book. Don’t use the tutor to generate unrelated content, to harass, or to get around the daily limits. Accounts or questions that abuse it may be removed.
